Detailed Description

Adequan® Canine Injectable for Dogs (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan)

What is Adequan® Canine Injectable for Dogs ?

ADEQUAN is the only FDA-approved disease-modifying osteoarthritis drug (DMOAD) that inhibits cartilage loss in the dog's joints, and may help to:

  • Restore joint lubrication
  • Relieve inflammation
  • Renew the building blocks of healthy cartilage

That’s what makes Adequan® Canine different from a supplement or NSAID. It proactively treats the disease and not just the signs of canine osteoarthritis.

How Adequan® Canine Works?

Binds to components of the cartilage matrix to help prevent further degradation of the joints.

  • Reduces inflammation and decreases pain.
  • Inhibits release of degradative enzymes and inflammatory mediators to help restore balance.
  • Stimulates the activity of existing cartilage components and improves synovial fluid to help renew joint mobility.

Description:

Adequan Injectable for Dogs is an injectable medication prescribed to help manage arthritis and joint problems in dogs. It may also help restore joint lubrication, relieve inflammation and renew the foundation of healthy cartilage.

For over 20 years, this medication has been prescribed and trusted by veterinarians to help moderate signs connected with non-infectious degenerative and/or traumatic arthritis of canine synovial joints.

Use:

Adequan is recommended for the treatment of noninfectious degenerative and/or traumatic joint dysfunction and associated lameness of the carpal joint in dogs.
